ABOUT
I started my career in Australian media before moving to the lead commercial role at ninemsn, a joint venture between PBL's Channel 9 television network and Microsoft. Through this time I managed large teams, and had the lead commercial responsibility in various organisations.
I then relocated to Oslo Norway, and began working with Microsoft in a fix-it and business development role across Scandinavia. This lead to 2.5 years in Seattle in a global role where I was responsible for the global Yahoo!/Microsoft business (23 countries), and then global planning for the ad platform. I returned to Norway 2010, and set up my own company, 140consult, In 2012.
I am actively invested in a number of different companies, from innovative web solutions to AI and Nano tech. I am based in Lillehammer Norway with my wife and 2 children, but commute weekly to Oslo, and regularly overseas.
Why 140true?
I grew up on the ocean, and my main sport was sailing Although I live in Norway, I remain active both racing and cruising.
With business, we use many old sailing references... whether we are facing "headwinds", "waves" of innovation, or even "sounding" ideas!
In sailing, if you face where the wind is blowing from, this is the "true" wind direction. At sea, turning 140 degrees from this true wind, you have the wind at your back and the waves running with you. This is also the fastest and most comfortable point of sail... at 140true!
